My Story

I come from a family that always had a summer garden full of veggies so it was the natural choice to grow my own garden when my husband and I had our own place. That veggie garden eventually morphed into mostly a flower patch with only some veggies. Since I am a collector at heart, when I discovered the world of dahlias with all their different varieties, I was hooked!

My husband and I live in Vancouver, WA with our two daughters. We don’t have acres for a flower farm, just a small flower patch that I pour my heart into. Its mostly filled with dahlias at this point, but I also grow roses and flowering perennials on the property as well as some annuals for cut flowers. I love making bouquets for friends and family and taking custom orders as well.

Besides growing dahlias, I also paint florals with watercolor. As long as I can remember, I was always drawing and doodling. I used to do detailed drawings of wildlife using pastels but during the pandemic I decided to learn watercolor and I was instantly in love. Of course, I painted primarily what I grew so it was quite satisfying to have flowers come to life during the dark times of the year when the garden was resting.

I turned my watercolor into a small business using Etsy but recently decided that it’s best to have my floral artwork for sale all in the same spot as my dahlias.
